Book Review – The Fine Art of Truth or Dare

The Fine Art of Truth or DareThe Fine Art of Truth or Dare by Melissa Jessen

In “The Fine Art of Truth or Dare,” Ella, an invisible nobody, has a crush on Alex Bainbridge just like every other girl at their upper-class private school. But when he becomes her French tutor, Ella is shocked to discover that Alex might just like her too. I have to say, I feel lukewarm about this one. While I generally liked the character of Alex, Ella felt a touch too emo. And while the ending was satisfying, the action was a bit slow to get started. That being said, I was looking for a “palette cleanser” after some of the weightier books I’ve been reading lately and this easy read served that purpose.
