Notorious RBG: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Irin Carmon & Shana Knizhnik
RBG’s personality and extraordinary life dance off the pages in this love letter to one of America’s most illustrious jurists. Based on Shana Knizhnik’s Notorious RBG Tumblr and Irin Carmon’s 2015 interview, this book is part pop culture, part biography, part legal scholarship and one hundred percent fascinating. My only complaint is that, at least in the Kindle version I read, I kept wishing that the pictures and graphics were larger. I had trouble reading some of the photographs of letters and other documents. Other than that, I thoroughly recommend this light, fun glimpse at the wonder that is Ruth Bader Ginsburg, AKA RBG.
Irin: And when the time comes, what would like to be remembered for?
RBG: Someone who used whatever talent she had to do her work to the very best of her ability. And to help repair tears in her society, to make things a little better through the use of whatever ability she has.
Don’t worry RBG, you’ve succeeded.
